1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using e-JYCP at e-jycp.unb.college ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. The Service is provided by UNB College (www.unb.college).
2. Description of Service
e-JYCP is an AI-powered college preparation platform providing access to three tools:
- Activity & Spike Builder — extracurricular planning and positioning
- Essay Coach — college essay writing assistance
- CollegeCompass — college research and application tracking
The Service is intended to assist and supplement your college application process. It does not guarantee admission to any educational institution.
3. Subscription & Billing
Access to the Service requires an active paid subscription at $199 USD per year, billed annually through Stripe.
- Your subscription begins immediately upon successful payment
- It automatically renews each year on your billing date unless cancelled beforehand
- You will receive a renewal reminder from Stripe before each charge
- To cancel, use the Manage Subscription button in your dashboard to access the Stripe billing portal
- Cancellation stops future renewals; you retain access until the end of the current paid period
⚠ No Refund Policy: All payments are final and non-refundable. By completing your purchase, you explicitly acknowledge and agree that no refunds will be issued for any reason, including but not limited to: partial use, dissatisfaction, change of mind, or cancellation before the subscription period ends. Please review the Service before subscribing.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful personal, educational purposes. You must not:
- Share your account credentials or allow others to use your subscription
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or reproduce the platform
- Use the Service to create content that is misleading, fraudulent, or violates any third-party rights
- Submit false information to college applications using AI-generated content without disclosure where required
- Use automated tools to scrape or extract content from the platform
5. Academic Integrity
e-JYCP provides AI assistance to help you craft your own authentic application materials. You are responsible for ensuring that any content you submit in college applications complies with the academic integrity and honesty policies of the institutions to which you apply. We encourage you to use the Service as a drafting and brainstorming aid, with your own voice and ideas as the foundation.
6. Intellectual Property
All platform content, design, software, and materials are the property of UNB College / e-JYCP and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Content you create using the tools (essays, lists, notes) remains yours.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that AI-generated suggestions will be accurate, complete, or suitable for your specific situation. College admissions outcomes depend on many factors outside our control.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, UNB College / e-JYCP shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, including any college admissions outcomes.
9. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Service for any user who violates these Terms, without notice or refund. You may cancel your subscription at any time via the billing portal.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via email to active subscribers.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes shall be resolved in the jurisdiction where UNB College operates.
