e-JYCP ("we", "us", "our") is a college preparation service offered at e-jycp.unb.college, a service of UNB College (www.unb.college). This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following information when you subscribe or use our platform:

• Email address — provided during Stripe checkout, used to identify your account
• Payment information — handled entirely by Stripe; we never see or store your card details
• Usage data — pages visited, tools used, session duration (anonymous)
• Content you create — essays, activity lists, college research stored locally in your browser

3. How We Use Your Information

• To verify your active subscription and grant access to the platform
• To send transactional emails (receipts, renewal notices) via Stripe
• To improve the platform based on aggregate usage patterns
• To contact you about service updates or changes

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Stripe & Payment Processing

All payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. Your card details are entered directly on Stripe's servers and are never transmitted to or stored by e-JYCP. Stripe is PCI-DSS Level 1 certified. You can review Stripe's privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.

5. Cookies & Local Storage

We use browser localStorage to store your Stripe customer ID and subscription status so you remain logged in between visits. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your subscription is active, plus 90 days after cancellation for billing records. You may request deletion of your data at any time by emailing support@unb.college.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Cancel your subscription at any time via the billing portal

8. Security

We use HTTPS/TLS encryption on all pages. Sensitive operations go through Stripe's secure infrastructure. API endpoints are protected with signature verification.

9. Children's Privacy

e-JYCP is designed for high school students and their parents/guardians. Users under 13 must have parental consent to use the service. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify active subscribers of material changes via email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
